Vienna is the capital of Austria. Vienna is Austria’s primary city; with a population of about 1.7 million inhabitants, with the metropolitan the population is about 2.3 million of inhabitants. This city is by far the largest city in Austria as well as its cultural, economic and political centre. Vienna lies in the very east of Austria and is close to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. In 2001, the city centre was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Art and culture have a long tradition in Vienna, including theatre, opera, classical music and fine arts.
Vienna has an extensive tram and bus network – the tram network being third largest in the world. In the most populated areas of Vienna, public transport runs so frequently (even during off-peak hours) that any familiarity with departure timetables is virtually unnecessary. The convenience and flexibility of the public transport is in turn reflected by its popularity; 53% of Viennese workers travel to their workplace by public transport.During night hours, public transport is continued by the Nightline buses operating on all the main routes, generally every half hour. I don’t know very much all the east countries of Europe, so I would like to go to visit it, also Vienna.
Why I want to go to Vienna

•November 30, 2007 • Leave a CommentVancouver is in the province of British Columbia in Canada. Vancouver located between the straitt of Georgia and the coast mountains, between the sea and the moutains, so the geographie is very interesting. The population of Vancouver was of 578,041 inhabitants and with the metropolitant region the population was of 2,116,581 inhabitants in 2006. Vancouver is the third largest city of the country. The first language is English but more than half of its residents having a first language other than English because Vancouver is ethnically diverse. TransLink, The Metro Vancouver transportation authority, is responsible for roads and public transportation within region. It provides a bus service, B-line Rapid Bus Service (two of the three B-Lines run in Vancouver with two more B-Lines by 2008), a foot passenger and bicycle ferry service (known as Seabus), a two-line automated metro system called SkyTrain, and the commuter rail West Coast Express. The climate is temper and rainy. In Summer the temperature is hot and it’s sunny. I went for holiday at Vancouver, I very like it because you have the sea and the mountains. This city is very pleasant because, there are a lot of activity outside, parks, tracks on the sea, pistes of sky…
Why I recommend Montreal to visitors
•November 30, 2007 • Leave a CommentMontreal is in the province of Quebec in Canada. Montreal is an island in the Saint Laurent river. The climate change a lot with the seasons, it´s very cold in winter (October to March) about -20 degrees, sometimes – 30 and -40 and sometimes -10, and it´s usualy snowing. However, in summer it´s very hot, about 30 degrees. In autumn it´s very beautiful because all the vegetation, trees, the leaves are red, orange, yellow. The population of Montreal was of 1,854,442 inhabitants in 2006 . The first language is =French but English is learn at school. There a lot of different nationality so Montreal is a very cosmopolitan city. The night life in Montreal is very exciting for all the ages. The excellent public transportation system combined to other aspects of the Montreal culture make the city night life unique. The crime rate in Montreal has always been relatively low for a city of its size. But Montreal has been the scene of several school shootings including the Dawson College Shooting, the Ecole Polythecnique massacre and the Concordia University massacre. I lived five years in Montreal, and I like it a lot because it´s both very peaceful, safe and exciting for young people, I was very independent, I could go out during the night and came back at home alone. There a lot of parks make this city very pleasant and agreeable. Besides, there are a lot of things to do like going to the club, cinema, shopping and a lot of nice places.
