Vancouver is in the province of British Columbia in Canada. Vancouver located between the straitt of Georgia and the coast mountains, between the sea and the moutains, so the geographie is very interesting. The population of Vancouver was of 578,041 inhabitants and with the metropolitant region the population was of 2,116,581 inhabitants in 2006. Vancouver is the third largest city of the country. The first language is English but more than half of its residents having a first language other than English because Vancouver is ethnically diverse. TransLink, The Metro Vancouver transportation authority, is responsible for roads and public transportation within region.It provides a bus service, B-line Rapid Bus Service (two of the three B-Lines run in Vancouver with two more B-Lines by 2008), a foot passenger and bicycle ferry service (known as Seabus), a two-line automated metro system called SkyTrain, and the commuter rail West Coast Express.
